The Brief

Managed Language approached us with a clear ambition: to elevate their presence in the global market. Once perceived primarily as a founder-led translation and localisation provider, they sought to redefine themselves as a high-value, succession-ready, tech-enabled multilingual partner trusted by global brands, agencies, and investors. The challenge was twofold-to highlight their operational independence while preserving the warmth, cultural intelligence, and human nuance that define their work. They needed a brand identity that projected trust, cultural depth, and performance, yet still carried a playful, approachable edge.

Our Approach

To meet Managed Language's objectives, we developed a design system grounded in clarity, creativity, and cultural nuance:

For the brand identity, we evolved the existing speech-bubble motif into a refined design system that bridges past and future. We selected a geometric sans-serif typeface with subtle cursive touches to introduce both warmth and precision, and developed a flexible colour palette adaptable across a range of contexts. The logo serves as a steady anchor within the system, symbolising confidence, clarity, and collaboration.

For digital and motion, we designed website flows that showcase ML’s multilingual capabilities and operational structure, supported by a suite of animated brand assets including logo animations and speech-bubble transitions. We also developed a presentation template tailored for investor conversations and global pitches, ensuring the brand’s clarity and energy carry seamlessly across all digital touchpoints.

We developed comprehensive brand guidelines that clearly define the use of the logo, typography, colour palette, imagery, and the overall design system, ensuring consistency and coherence across all brand applications.

The Results

The results delivered a fully refreshed and future-ready brand. Managed Language now presents as a mature, scalable, investor-ready business, supported by a visual identity that evolves their legacy assets while signalling a more polished, contemporary presence. The flexible, scalable brand system enables clear multilingual and multicultural communication across global markets, while a human-centred tone keeps the brand friendly and accessible without losing professionalism. Enhanced pitching materials-including templates and motion assets-may further elevate Managed Language's interactions with clients and investors, strengthening their position in the industry.
