Jay Tunbridge

Founder & Creative Director

Jay founded Motel after leading creative work at agencies including Designhouse and L&CO, and with clients like Microsoft, Heineken and JLL.

He built Motel specifically for professional services organisations where brand has real commercial consequences — and now works with some of the world's most demanding clients, including one of the top 15 global PE firms.

With 25+ years experience, Jay leads client work and internal teams. No junior team handovers or account managers–just senior strategic design that questions everything, clears the blockers and delivers beyond expectations.

Outside the studio, Jay volunteers as a Talk Club Captain in Margate, running monthly mental fitness groups for men. He lives in Margate with his four children and dachshund, has an impractical obsession with oversized classic American cars, and needs to get back on a snowboard before he forgets how.
