Brief
With a rich history spanning over four decades, Commotion is more than a toy distributor; they're a catalyst for childhood learning. The extensive range of educational toys offered, coupled with their global reach and unparalleled support, make them the preferred partner for toy resellers. Their in-house brand, tickit_education, offers imaginative and durable toys that spark curiosity and learning.
Tasked with a key role in the repositioning of their impressive product line, Motel developed an exhibition stand for Spielwarenmesse 2025 – the world's largest toy and game trade fair – to showcase the company's refreshed brand to their primary global commercial audience.
In parallel we also worked on the design and build of Commotion's new B2B ecommerce site to deliver their growing global sales offering.

Approach
We looked to communicate the nature of the universe of toys, the movement part of child's play, the diversity of media and the information children are subject to whilst playing. Hence the curved shapes, use of imagery and the openness of the stand spaces. We created a system of elements to display the Commotion range in a space where the staff could also meet with their clients.
From initial sketches, technical drawings and renders through to overseeing the manufacture and implementation of the design – we created a completely new experience for Commotion's audience to interact with their products and experience the Commotion brand first hand. The team from Meysel Forum Messebau + Design installed the stand immaculately.
With the B2B ecommerce site we showcased their brands, new product ranges and a diverse selection of product categories. Capturing their refreshed brand look and feel we were tasked with making the site more visual and image based to showcase their unique design-led approach to their products.
